Nanda (born 8 January 1939) is an Indian film actress of Hindi films and Marathi films.
Nanda was born in a Maharashtrian show-business family to Vinayak Damodar Karnataki (Master Vinayak), a successful Marathi actor-director .Her father died when Nanda was a child. The family faced hard times. She became a child artiste and helped them by working in films like Jaggu in the early 1950s.[1] She was tutored at home by renowned schoolteacher and Bombay Scouts commissioner, Gokuldas V. Makhi. Her brother is Marathi film director Jaiprakash Karnataki and Jayashree Talpade is her sister-in-law.

Bollywood Actress Nisha Kothari was born in Kolkata, and grew up speaking English, Gujarati, Bengali, and Hindi. She moved to New Delhi while in grade 10 and got her degree in Chemistry from Delhi University at Dayal Singh College,After College, Kothari became a model and appeared in a few adverts. She moved into films with Jay Jay, a Tamil movie, as Amoga. . She got her break through actor Madhavan, who recommended her for an audition after viewing her photographs.
